Most of all, we believe healing starts with a true partnership between patient and physician. Come see where the best of medicine meets real connection!
Meet Dr. Kyler Black
I’m Dr. Kyler Black, an Internal Medicine and Pediatrics physician with additional training in both Integrative and Functional Medicine. I started Connected Health to give patients key things I have found to be missing in our current healthcare model – adequate time, a provider who truly listens, advanced testing and evidence-based tools to dig deeper to find the root cause, a look at the whole person, and a personalized approach and plan created in collaboration with doctor and patient.
My approach blends conventional, functional, and integrative medicine to get to the root cause of health issues, uses advanced testing when needed, and employs evidence-based nutrition, lifestyle, natural, and/or conventional therapies to restore health, achieve optimal wellness, and prevent disease. Most of all, I believe healing starts with a true partnership between patient and physician.

What is functional medicine?
Functional medicine is a personalized, science-based approach to medicine with two main goals:
1. Look for the root causes of illness.
Instead of asking “What drug matches this disease?”
functional medicine asks, “Why is this happening,
what is the root cause, and how can we treat the
root cause to restore balance?”
2. Optimize health.
By addressing the key pillars of health, we explore how factors like sleep, stress, gut health, hormones, environment, and genetics all work together to impact your health. The result
is a plan designed just for you – addressing your
whole person, not just the diagnosis so you can
finally move from managing symptoms to building
lasting health!

Pediatric Functional Medicine
Pediatric functional medicine provides more in-depth wellness visits than traditional care, offering longer appointments, deeper conversations, and a true whole-child approach. Instead of simply treating symptoms, we take a comprehensive look at what your child needs to function at their best—physically, emotionally, and mentally.
Each visit includes a personalized wellness plan tailored to your child’s nutrition, lifestyle, environment, and development, helping them build lifelong healthy habits that support them into adulthood. By identifying imbalances early, we focus on prevention as much as treatment, empowering parents with clear guidance and actionable steps to help their child thrive.
In addition to wellness care, we also offer sick visits for support when your child isn’t feeling well.
What We Treat
- Sick Visits
- Recurrent Infections
- Eczema
- Allergies
- Asthma
- ADHD and learning difficulties
- Welness optimization
- Autism spectrum
- Growth and nutrition concerns
- Behavioral and mood challenges
- Sleep disturbances

Our Process
1. Initial in depth consultation
Upon booking your first appointment you will receive an email with several detailed questionnaires regarding your medical history, symptoms, and concerns. Dr. Black will thoroughly review this prior to your visit. Visit will include body composition analysis (if 12 or older), time to go over your health goals, questions, symptoms, and concerns. A plan will be made for labs/further testing. A follow-up visit will be made within 7–10 days to go over your personalized healing plan.
2. Initial follow up visit
Once Dr. Black has received all lab work and testing discussed in the initial visit, he will review everything. You will then meet to go over a detailed plan to address your personalized plan to address your concerns and achieve optimal health. Subsequent follow-up visits will be the same as follow-up price or a membership package can be purchased (onboarding fee will be waived).
3. Personalized health plan
